OAK HARBOR – Oak Harbor junior Jac Alexander was ready for the 2018-2019 basketball season to tip-off.
On Saturday, Alexander poured in 21 first half points en route to a 26-point performance as the Rockets handed Woodmore a 77-57 loss at the Launch Pad.
The Rockets bolted to a 19-8 lead after one quarter and led 40-22 at the half.
Blake Booker connected on four 3-pointers for the Rockets and finished with 18 points.
Oak Harbor had 12 total 3-pointers in the contest as Alexander had three and Hunter Wilkins, Gage Brough, Conner Joy, Marcus Hartlage, and Anthony Stewart all added one.
Paul Koenig was the Wildcats’ leading scorer with 13 points while Hayden Heidebrink chipped in with 11.
Oak Harbor will host Huron next Friday in its next contest while Woodmore (1-1 overall) will host Eastwood.
