Week One HS Football (NW Ohio)

While we do our best to give coverage to all of our area teams, we can't provide reports if your school doesn't report them.  Please email us at your scores, stats, and any quotes and we'd be happy to report.  

Danbury 28, Vanlue 14
Saylor Evans rushed for 111 yards on 11 carries while Danbury had three different rushers score touchdowns in a 28-14 win over Vanlue.
Cole Shortridge and Will Tibbels each notched touchdown runs while the Lakers' other score came on a touchdown pass from Kaden Conrad to Evans on a 23-yard pass.
Defensively, Everett Overmyer recorded eight tackles as did Tug Tibbels.
Evans also had two sacks for Danbury's defense.
Northwood 49, Woodmore 7
The Rangers were tough from the opening quarter in a 49-7 victory over Woodmore.
Aaron Sandrock tossed a touchdown pass to Andrew Barringer for the Wildcats' only touchdown of the game.
Dylan LaFountain led Woodmore with 76 rushing yards on 15 carries.
Canton Central Catholic 14, Bellevue 13
Keegan Ray completed 50-percent of his passes Friday for 171 yards and two touchdowns, but Bellevue fell to Canton Central Catholic.
Gavin Sparling caught ten passes for 124 yards and Jake Holmer and Dylan Hundley each had receiving touchdowns for the Redmen in the loss.
Defensively, Jack Howey had 14 tackles while Damien Hay helped wrap up ten tackles.
Sycamore Mohawk 34, Lakota 8
Trevor Franks ran the ball 37 times for 145 yards for Lakota, but Mohawk's offense rolled to a 34-8 victory.
Jesse Leeth scored two first half touchdowns for the Warriors and Keith Jenkins tossed two touchdown passes for Mohawk in the win.
