OAK HARBOR - Both the boys' and girls' track and field teams from Perrysburg earned first place finishes on Friday at the Oak Harbor Invitational.
The host Rockets finished fourth in the boys' competition, but the 4 x 100 relay team of Garret Duty, Ajay Riechman, Andy Buderer, and Aidan Barton sprinted to the top spot in 44.14.
The four also took first in the 4 x 200 in 1:32.21.
Woodmore's Dan Giesler was the first place finisher in the 200 with a time of 23.95.
Brandon Elmes of Oak Harbor was first in the 300-hurdles in 41.02 while Edison's Sam Stoll was second with a time of 41.79.
Elmes also won the 110-hurdles with a time of 15.25.
In the boy's long jump, Genoa's Christian Pearson finished first with a jump of 20-02.25.
In girls' competition, Oak Harbor finished second as Hope Sievert gave the Rockets a first place finish in the 1600 with a time of 5:25.72.
In the high jump, Eastwood's Katelyn Meyer set a new meet record with a height of 5-08.00 to best the twelve year old record held by Kelsey Bolander of Napoleon of 5-05.50.
Jenna Henneman (Genoa) was the top placer in the girl's pole vault with a mark of 10-feet while Port Clinton's Rachel Simpson won the discus with a mark of 135-10.
Oak Harbor's Emily Wolf (119-10) was second in the discus.
In the 3200-meter run, Woodmore finished in the top two spots as Olivia Thatcher (12:01.87) and Ava Beam (12:09.09) raced to the finish.
