Ish Plays Role in Rockets Win Over Willard

Oak Harbor's Brenen Ish earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory on Wednesday as the Rockets won 4-1 over Willard in tennis action.

OAK HARBOR - Oak Harbor freshman Brenen Ish is slowly becoming one of Oak Harbor's more dependable tennis players.

On Wednesday, Ish cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Willard's Zach Diehl as part of the Rockets 4-1 victory over the Crimson Flashes at Oak Harbor High School.

Andrew Jeffries and Wyatt Miller, both freshmen, teamed up to defeat Rajelio Lopez and Eli Jaramillo 6-0, 6-0 to give the Rockets a win at second doubles.

In first single's action, Oak Harbor's Nate Mansor won his first set 6-0 before scraping out a 7-6 (1) win over Kolin McKelvey.

The Rockets' other victory came at second singles, where Matt Klima came away with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Graham Wiers.

Oak Harbor, now 6-6 overall and 4-3 in the Sandusky Bay Conference, lost just one match as Thomas Chovanec and Delaney Hayes lost 6-3, 6-3 to Brandon Byf and Josh Haynes.
