Hartlage and Sievert Win Invite Honors as Rockets Sweep

Rockets Sweep Upper Sandusky Invite

UPPER SANDUSKY – Once again the Oak Harbor boys and girls track team took care of business as the teams traveled to Upper Sandusky and brought home hardware by placing first in both boys’ and girls’ action.
 
Out of eight schools at Saturday’s Gerald Swankhouse Invitational, the Rockets bested the competition by more than 40 points by both teams.
 
Marcus Hartlage was named Most Valuable Athlete on the boys’ side and Hope Sievert was given the same honor for the girls’ side.
 
In the 1600 run, Hartlage (junior) was the top runner in 4:46.47 and also finished first in the 800 with a mark of 2:05.79.
 
Sievert, a sophomore, took first in the 1600 run with a time of 5:40.30 and with a time of 2:29.83 captured the top spot in the 800 run.
