OAK HARBOR - The opener of 2018's Croll Family invitational went the host team's way.
Oak Harbor won its 14th contest of the season (14-2 overall) as Emily Lenke and Kaytlynn Sandwisch each belted three hits as the Rockets earned an 8-3 win over Tiffin Columbian.
Lenke and Sandwisch also added two RBIs apiece as Oak Harbor took an 8-0 lead into the final inning.
Ashley Riley pitched seven strong innings for the win as she struck out six Tornadoes.
Abby Chapman went 5.2 innings for Columbian (6-4 overall).
Leading the Tornadoes at the plate was Macy Allen. Allen had two hits including a double while driving in two runs.
Oak Harbor went on to win the four team tournament by defeating Otsego in the championship game by the score of 13-3 to improve to 15-2 on the season.
Lenke smacked three hits in the final contest while Epling and Chloe Roosen each had three RBIs.
Epling hit a home-run while Roosen legged out a double in the second contest.
