GENOA - Josh Vischer had a perfect game going into the final inning of Genoa's five inning shortened game against North Baltimore on Friday.
Holding an 11-0 lead, the Comets were on their way to run rule victory, but Vischer had unfinished business.
Alex Snyder and Adam Flores each popped out into foul territory for North Baltimore's first two outs of the fifth before Jaden Bucher came to the plate and ruined Vischer's perfect game with a two out single to right field.
The Comets would go on to record the third out of the inning on the Tigers' next at bat and claim the 11-0 win to improve to 5-2 on the season.
Meanwhile, the bats were scorching hot for Genoa.
Noah Edwards slapped three singles while four other Genoa batters had two hits apiece as the Comets registered 16 in the game.
Sam Witt, Gabe Scott, Allen Laytart, and Vischer each had a pair of hits while Vischer and Witt recorded doubles.
