FREMONT - Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic knew coming into Friday's contest with Sandusky Bay Conference River Division foe Old Fort that it needed a win to get ahead in the division race.
Chris Morrisette and Spencer Harrison each scored 12 points for the Crimson Streaks and SJCC held on in a thriller to take down the Stockaders 53-51 to remain in a first place tie with New Riegel.
The Crimson Streaks (8-6, 5-2 SBC River) took a 15-11 lead after one, but Old Fort rallied before the half and went into the locker room clinging to a 29-25 advantage.
Jacob Webb, who scored 21 points for the Stockaders (8-7, 4-3 SBC River) gave SJCC problems as he drained three 3-pointers in the game.
The Crimson Streaks' defense then held Old Fort to just five points in the third while SJCC regained the lead by a slim margin of 36-34.
