FREMONT - The Fremont Ross swim teams had a fantastic weekend at the Three Rivers Athletic Conference Championships.
Both the boys and girls' teams for the Little Giants swam their way to second place finishes overall as Toledo St. Ursula edged Ross in girls' competition and Toledo St. Francis splashed its way to a title in boys' action.
Fremont's Dane Michaels picked up a second place finish in the diving competition while Sarah Watson was third for the Little Giants in girls' diving.
Andrew Evans earned Ross a first place spot in the 100-BREAST as Evans finished in 59.49.
The girls' 200-Medley Relay team of MaKennah Fitzgerald, Alexis Prenzlin, AnneMarie Moses, and Olivia DeRodes took first with a time of 1:50.65 beating out St. Ursula by nearly three seconds.
DeRodes, a junior, later took top honors in the 200-Free with a mark of 1:58.68.
In the 200-IM, Prenzlin, a sophomore, earned a title with a time of 2:14.83, besting Kayla Kreger from St. Ursula by over three seconds.
Prenzlin also took first in the 100-BREAST in 1:07.00
Fitzgerald, a junior, was top finisher in the 100-BACK with a time of 1:01.14, while Sarah Hack of St. Ursula finished second in 1:03.14.
