FREMONT - Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic won its eighth straight game Tuesday as four different players reached double digits against Monroeville.
Adrienne Wehring led the way with 13 points for the Crimson Streaks (8-0 overall) while the Eagles struggled to find momentum as the Eagles were grounded by SJCC 65-27 at the Thunder Dome.
Brooke Casperson buried a 3-pointer and scored seven of her 11 points during the opening quarter while the Crimson Streaks went up 19-9.
SJCC's defense clamped down even more in the second quarter giving up just two baskets as Monroeville's Alex Carper scored two of her six points in the second and Kara Schafer tallied her only two points of the game.
Offensively, the Crimson Streaks received two baskets from Wehring, Casperson, and Callie Kelbley as SJCC opened a 38-14 half-time advantage.
Kelbley ended with eight points in the game.
In the third quarter, Belle Michael connected on two 3-pointers while finishing with 12 points in the game and Miranda Wammes tallied six of her 12 points in the third as the Crimson Streaks opened a commanding 58-21 lead after three quarters.
The Crimson Streaks will host Lakota on Friday in a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division contest.
Monroeville (3-4 overall) will play at Plymouth on Friday.
