GENOA - Genoa reeled off its ninth consecutive win on Saturday as Jacob Plantz poured in 31 points as the Comets knocked off Clyde 64-52.
Clyde had an early 21-18 lead after one quarter but Genoa used a 15-7 second quarter advantage to take a five point lead into the half.
Cam Farrar connected on three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points while Trevor Burtch added 11 for the Fliers (10-6 overall).
The Fliers regained the lead in the third quarter and held a 44-39 lead but Plantz coupled with Andrew Bench's 12 points and Nate Lewis's nine points to outscore Clyde 23-8 in the fourth.
Genoa improves to 14-3 and will travel to Tontogany to face Otsego on Tuesday.
Clyde will be host to Tiffin Columbian on Tuesday in a conference contest.
