FREMONT - Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic earned its fifth straight win on Tuesday as Brooke Casperson and Adrienne Wehring each put up 16 points as the Crimson Streaks took down Old Fort 62-50 in Sandusky Bay Conference River Division action.
Wehring got the Crimson Streaks off to a good start by scoring six points in the opening quarter and Miranda Wammes scored nine of her 13 points in the period as SJCC took a 22-12 lead.
The Crimson Streaks 14-2 (7-0 SBC River) moved ahead 35-21 at the half as Emily Militello connected on a second quarter 3-pointer and four other players added points for SJCC.
The Stockaders (5-9, 3-3 River) were led by Whitney Bilger, who scored nine of her 13 points in the opening half, accounting for the majority of her team's points in the half.
SJCC extended its lead to 48-28 after three quarters as Casperson added two of her 16 points in the period.
Madison Spencer sparked Old Fort in the fourth quarter by scoring six of her ten points while the Stockaders outscored SJCC 22-14 in the period.
The Crimson Streaks will continue divisional play on Saturday with a road game at Lakota.
Old Fort will host New Riegel on Thursday.
