MARION HARDING - The Fremont Ross girls' basketball team took a trip to Marion Harding on Thursday for a non-conference battle against the Presidents.
The Little Giants made 15-of-22 shots from the foul line including 12 free throws in the final quarter before impeaching the Presidents 53-42.
Jazmine Bulger went 5-of-6 and Olivia Baptista was 4-of-5 from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter as the two scored 18 and 10 points, respectively.
Bulger buried two 3-pointers in the first quarter as Ross (8-2 overall) kept pace with Marion Harding.
The Presidents (5-7 overall) held an 11-10 lead after one quarter as Ariyah Douglas scored four of her 12 points in the opening period.
Marion Harding went cold in the second quarter and came up with just six points while Lyndsey Neal recorded all four of her points in the quarter.
That allowed Ross to take a 25-16 lead into the half.
Brooklyn Baptista, who scored 14 points for Ross, scored eight points in the second, including two 3-pointers during the Ross ten point advantage.
Parkar Mauk led the Presidents with 13 points, most of which came in the second half.
The Little Giants will return to action at home on January 4th when Toledo Notre Dame Academy invades the Purple Pit.
