Woodmore Holds on for Win

GENOA - Thursday's Northern Buckeye Conference contest between Genoa and Woodmore came down to the final moments of the game.

The Comets rallied from six down at the half to make it a game, but Woodmore held on to take a 42-41 victory.

Woodmore (4-4, 2-3 NBC) took a 19-13 lead at the half as Nora LaMunyon tossed in a pair of 3-pointers on her way to a nine point performance.

Katie Brugger, who led the Wildcats with 16 points, scored nine of her points in the first half to aid Woodmore's early lead.

Meanwhile, the Comets mustered just two field goals in the opening half, both buckets by Caitlin Cruickshank.
