Rockets Cage Panthers

SANDUSKY - To get back on track after its first loss of the season, the Oak Harbor girls' basketball team turned to its defense to create a win at Sandusky St. Mary's Central Catholic by the score of 53-39.

The Rockets (5-1, 1-0 SBC Bay) took a 13-2 lead after one quarter and held the Panthers to just two points in the third quarter as well while downing St. Mary's (1-6, 0-1 SBC River).

Logan Harris led all scorers with 29 points and Sophia Eli added ten for Oak Harbor.

The Panthers had 13 points from Maggie London and 11 points from Faith Lamb.

Oak Harbor will return to conference action on Saturday when it travels to Vermilion for an afternoon contest.

For St. Mary's, Tiffin Calvert will come to Sandusky on Friday evening for a divisional game.
